This compilation contains seven previously published Little Critter mini-books: "Just for You", "When I Get Bigger", "I Was So Mad", "All By Myself", "Just Go to Bed", "Just a Mess", and "I Just Forgot." Each is a delight. After two months, my three-year old can practically recite every story.
Done in classic Mayer style, the illustrations are all very clever and there is always a subtle lesson of some kind available. Great stuff. |

| After almost 8 months, this is still a bedtime favorite. My son and I love it. We especially like searching each page for the little spider, mouse and grasshopper. Thanks, Mr. Mayer, for many wonderful evenings of snuggling and reading! |

| For years my grandchildren have loved Mercer Mayer's Little Critter books. They deal with everyday situations from the point of view of a child. The books are colorful, simple, and beloved by my grandchildren. I recommend unhesitatingly. |

| This is a very good introduction to Little Critter to be used either for reading to a toddler/kid at bedtime or for kids able to read a couple sentences at a time. Good collection. |
